Autism Initative - Macarthur CDC Intervention Services

Autism Initiative

The Autism Initiative (Helping Children with Autism) is a funding scheme that has been allocated by the Federal Government for children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD). Children under the age of 13 years may be eligible for assessment and treatment funding. Children under the age of 15 years may be eligible for treatment funding if a prior diagnosis has been given. Eligible children are entitled to a maximum for 4 sessions of funding for Allied Health Assessments and 20 sessions for Allied Health Intervention (therapy). These rebated sessions are available only once and are under a 135. A referral (135) is needed from your Paediatrician before services can be rebated.
